New technologies have provided some people with the ability to control and spy on the work and communications of others by installing spyware on their PC. Detekt is a tool developed by nonprofit organizations and human rights advocates whose aim is to inform you whether third parties have access to your computer.
Amnesty International and Privacy International are just some of the organizations behind this tool. The latter NGO's main objective is to monitor privacy invasions by governments and other enterprises.
Detekt is able to detect if your PC has a spy program through which information is being sent to third parties, and once it's gone through your operating system, you can know whether or not that computer is safe.
If this program finds any kind of spyware that shouldn't be there, you will be immediately alerted and receive a set of instructions for further action, which you can follow step-by-step to get rid of these violations of privacy.
